2019 Elections for SEA Board of Directors and State Council Representatives

Here are the official results:

1068 valid ballots.  All traditional schools had at least 2 valid votes.  I will prepare a report for SEA Rep council with the site-by-site breakdown.
Julie Walker, SEA President 2019-2021 (76.69% votes)
Cesar Fernandez, SEA Vice President* 2019-2021(68.45% of votes) 
 *Currently, Cesar Fernandez is SEA Treasurer--we will need to elect a new treasurer for 2019-2020 remainder of term.

Summary of Contract Agreement 2018-2019

Meetings were held between SUHSD and SEA on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in order to ensure our students have the most qualified teachers in the classroom. In light of the recent SERP agreement, the President, Vice-President and two members of the Bargaining team (one high school, one middle school) met with district leadership to craft a Memo of Understanding  (MOU) to outline how the vacancies of approximately 100 mid-year retirements and resignations would be filled.
