SEA SCHOLARSHIPS

1. One $1,000 College Scholarship:

Qualifications:

  • Graduating high school senior with full-time enrollment
  • 3.25 GPA (cumulative) scholarship and 3.0 GPA (cumulative) citizenship – minimum
  • Community service with verification from community agency and/or work experience with employment verification from employer and/or Future Educators of America participation
  • Dependent of current S.E.A. member or dependent of a deceased member

2. One $1,000 College Scholarship:

Ruth French Chapman Scholarship

Ruth Chapman was a Sweetwater Union High School District School Board member who worked tirelessly on behalf of teachers. She was extremely supportive of the fine arts programs in the Sweetwater District.

Qualifications:

  • Graduating high school senior with full-time enrollment
  • 3.25 GPA (cumulative) scholarship and 3.0 GPA (cumulative) citizenship – minimum
  • Participation in Sweetwater Union High School District fine arts program
  • Dependent of current S.E.A. member or dependent of a deceased member

3. One $500 College Scholarship:

Qualifications:

  • Graduating high school senior with full-time enrollment
  • 3.25 GPA (cumulative) scholarship and 3.0 GPA (cumulative) citizenship – minimum
  • Community service with verification from community agency and/or work experience with employment verification from employer and/or Future Educators of America participation
  • Dependent of current S.E.A. member or dependent of a deceased member

4. Two $500 College Scholarships:

Qualifications:

  • Continuing full-time college student
  • 2.5 GPA (cumulative) scholarship – minimum
  • Community service with verification from community agency and/or work experience with employment verification from employer and/or Future Educators of America participation
  • Registered in an approved credential or degree program in an accredited institution of higher learning; or as a full-time student in an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Dependent of current S.E.A. member or dependent of a deceased member

5.  One $1000 Scholarship

Bob Fredrickson Scholarship

Qualifications:

  • Graduating high school senior with full-time enrollment
  • Community service with verification from community agency and/or work experience with employment verification from employer
  • Dependent of current S.E.A. member or dependent of a deceased member

Deadline: Applications, including all letters of recommendation, must be received at the SEA office on or before May 3rd , 2013 at 4:30 PM. (1061 Tierra Del Rey Suite 100, Chula Vista, CA 91910)
